Making Memories in Your Fairie Garden
I was given a book by my dear friend Tonya a few years back called Toad Cottages and Shooting Stars: Grandma’s Bag of Tricks, by Sharon Lovejoy. It is a wonderful little book with ‘Wonder-filled Grandchild Friendly Activities’. Tonya has the most enchanting gardens I have ever been in. She has labored in this garden, which takes up her entire 1/2 acre backyard, for 30 years. What makes her garden so amazing is the detail in every corner. When she gave me this book and said she had been so inspired to use many of the ideas in it I was ready to be equally inspired. And it didn’t fail.…

The Gnomist – the Healing Powers of Magic A Beautiful Video about the Healing Powers of Magic We know the power of having magical things that surround us. Its that feeling of wonder and awe. That childlike remembrance of possibilities and just believing! Sadly, we seem to be in such a hurry to get where we are going most of the time that we forget to slow down. Or just stop…and listen. Chip & Joanna Gaines, hosts of HGTV’s hit remodeling show “Fixer Upper” are the owners of the Magnolia Market. While there we had the pleasure of visiting their wonderful gardens. I was so happy to see all the miniature fairy gardens placed all around the gardens. I took a few pictures to inspire you.

Fairie Shoes You can make. Look what we found in the forest today……fairies must be afoot! You can make these Fairie Shoes with the pattern below. Use card stock to make the base. Cut out and tape the top of the shoe to the bottom with masking tape. The shoes are made with Lambs Ear. If you aren’t familiar with Lambs Ear it is an herb with leaves that are a velvety soft light sage green color. The leaves are big enough to work around the shoe base. The leaves can be put on with any white glue. You can see on the shoes below that they were embellished with pompoms,…

The Fall Fairie Circus Is In Town
There is a feeling in the air. A shift in the sun and a breeze from another direction. The Fairie Circus is on its way. A striped tent is going up in the hollow and the buzzing sounds of laughter can be heard in the cool of the night. There are flickers of light all around as the circus takes shape. Fireflies and fairies can be seen busy with the preparations. What a wonderful time of year. It is the beginning of the Fall Fairiefest. When fairies from all over the world travel to the hollow for a week of socializing and story telling and potion sharing. It will be…

Pumpkin Fairy Carriage
Enchanted Pumpkin Fairy Carriage I found this Gold Distressed Metal Pumpkin Carriage and had to have it! It looks just like a fairy carriage and I knew when I saw it that I would be able to use it in the house or outside in the fairy garden. It was a nice metal but I wanted some color to use in the garden.
